This dude is so right. The French the rudest people I've ever met.

That's a great sign in fairness. I love the French though and forgive them.

It is funny, but that is one of our biggest stereotypes here. I found that even most of the Parisians were very nice to us.

Perhaps that is because I knew that saying Bonjour, and then blah blah please was polite?

I travelled all over Europe and never really met a people more rude than the northern french. Down south they're a little nicer, but that's mostly because they get all their money from tourism.

I heard most Americans are pretty friendly to tourists, as long as you're not being a total jackass. Yet when I see videos of, say, NYC, everybody seems like a total douche.

Chicago is that way (douchebags everywhere). I've never been to a city I hated more than Chicago. There's great stuff to look at and do or whatever, I just really don't like it, and it has a lot to do with the people up there.

Generally, in NYC, people are relatively important and have somewhere to be. The worst city is Boston, where people THINK they are important and have somewhere to be. New York is all about business...they have to get somewhere, and you are in the way so they just walk around. No time for pleasantries. Boston, on the other hand, has a sense of entitlement what with all the revolutionary war stuff like a million years ago.

Chicago, I've found, is just a big city with no feel at all...not so much douchebaggery, just a whole bunch of clueless people packed into one city.

Come to Pittsburgh, nicest city in the country.

The only decent thing about America is that Waffle House waitresses are the most cliched darlings on the planet. Love them.

Chicago, in all honesty, is the nicest American City I've visited... with the exception of Nashville. That includes New York, LA, San Fran, Boston, Louisville, Memphis, Kansas City, Iowa City, Des Moines, Atlanta, Orlando etc. etc. etc.

I really disagree. I thought Chicago people were fairly grounded. The City itself is also awesome. Beautiful architecture and clean as fuck. Would definitely visit again.
