What gives? I still have the old security certificate, do we need to upgrade to 128 bit encryption like we talked about?

Yes, the cert expired today. I was asked to confirm a self-signed cert, so I don't know why you're getting that. You can't really trust the CAs anyways so self-signed is fine.

Nope. That's just how PKI works. We only see the public keys; the cert is signed and installed by the server administrator with the private key.
