It's probably vapor ware. Everybody heard about it, but nobody in the world has ever seen it.

Eh, I wouldn't be so sure. Since the NSA has intentionally infected at least 50,000 consumer computers, so that they could spy on people who most definitely had absolutely nothing to do with terrorism, they might as likely infect Tony's little penis which will most definitely not be seeing any vaginas any time soon.

I thought we were talking about TTT's manhood (if its even that :D ) and thats why I was saying even the NSA doesnt want to spy on that.

K I got my SSD and will wait until the SATA 3 cable comes in the mail to install it. Is there anything special I should do when installing windows on the SSD? I know IDE drives used to have pin connectors to denote master and slave drives but I'm not familiar with how SATA works.

Yes. First, make sure you have AHCI enabled in your BIOS. Every BIOS is different, so I can't tell you where it is going to be. Next, change your boot device order so that your SSD is first (or CD/DVD drive first, SSD second). You may now install your OS.

It is important that you enable AHCI before installing the OS so that it installs the proper drivers. You'll see a pretty good performance difference.

Just decided to do some system maintenance today, and while I was at it I checked my SSD's health. I've had this SSD in place for almost 3 years now, running the computer 24/7 with the only real downtime being power outages.

Health is still at 100%.
Code:
Total Host Reads: 13.69 TB
Total Host Writes: 9.00 TB
Power On Count: 68 count
Power On Hours: 21591 hours
Still running strong and no failed blocks yet.

How's it working out for you, Tony?

Funny you asked because I just came here for your help. I have been waiting to use this SSD for a long time. I figured I would wait until after Christmas to wipe the main hard drive and install the SSD after I finished and got the okay on some CAD drawings for my uncle ( I figured I might lose the software during the transfer). Well it turns out I should have at least tried to put the SSD into my computer because fucking newegg was wrong about my case supporting any 2.5" drives. I bought a adapter the same day which took a week to arrive at my house.
I am now stuck in the windows installation screen after clicking to go ahead and format the SSD. I can move the cursor and the wheel keeps spinning but this thing is taking over an hour now to format 238.5GB. Should I just leave it alone and come back later tonight or is it okay if I turn the computer off and format it in windows using the secondary hard drive that has all my porn n shit on it?

Oh and the primary hard drive that will serve as the storage for everything can't be found by the Mobo or windows. It's currently plugged into a spot that's controlled by the mobo and not the ICH10R which sees the two disk drives.

It's taking an hour to format? That seems way too long. Even if you chose a full format (as opposed to the quick format which is the default), that seems like a long time for that size of drive.

You could format it any way you want. You could do so from your current Windows install if you want. I don't remember exactly, but did you ever get that Linux USB/DVD working? You could also use that.

Yeah I still have the Linux USB which I got to work. I checked back on the format and got this message:
Failed to format the selected partition. Error: 0x80070057
